Should I use generic plain end scroll saw blades like these? https://www.amazon.com/Olson-PG49802-Pr ... 001FTKXOS/

Any considerations to keep in mind?

Thanks!

Use plain end Jig Saw or Scroll Saw blades. That's what is good about using this Jig Saw. Blades are easy to find. Use single direction blades and cut on the down stroke. You can also use it as a Sabre Saw with the upper arm removed and Sabre Saw single ended blades.

Do use caution especially when using very fine blades since the Jig Saw uses spring tension for the return stroke in the upper arm which makes it is easy to bend blades. That is what makes Scroll Saws more popular having the blade held with tension between the upper and lower arms which move together. Don't rush it, let the blade do the cutting. Trying to feed the material in too fast will only end up damaging the blade.
