We have/well had an out door clock and the motor needed replacing, which I did. But in the process I broke the glass.
Measures in at 14-5/16 but I guess it could be a 1/16" smaller and still fit. The outside has screws that pretty much says it can't be too much larger but again maybe I could go a 1/16" over.

Clock new was about $30 and now with the new motor I hate to trash it.

Anyone had to deal with this sort of thing and if so what did you end up doing?

Any glass shop should be able to cut a new piece for you. Based on the crack, it isn't tempered glass so it is an easy cut.

It looks like it was going to cost me about $20 for the repair so I went the route of replacing the glass with plastic. I got this stuff at my local Menard's store for about $20.
Decided to cut it with the bandsaw. Powerpro menu said 400 rpm which turned out to a really good speed for the cutting.
Used the broken glass as a pattern and cut the plastic on the line as best I could. There was some leeway so I wasn't worried.
Pealed the protective cover and put it back together, and it is now back hanging out where it had been.

I have replaced a few of the battery clock movements. I like the newer, almost silent movements that advance the second hand 16 times per second as opposed to the older style that advanced once per second, tick, tick tick.
