There seems to be a lot of spam activity going on

On a recent day I tried to count the number of members that were banned for some form of spam. I might have missed a couple or counted some twice but the number was in the area of 25. Yes 25 in one day. Of course this was just one select day and there are days with less and I think days with more. It is really hard to believe that there is so much of this activity.
I have assume the new membership part of the forum is working fine, well at least for those we don't need here. The vast majority of first time posts end up being spam. I wish I had done a count of that ratio but I know personally that almost every notification I see of a new post is just junk. Funny thing is that most you can tell form the subject line, they come in waves using the same lines......
Anyway just thought I'd let you know that we do see a lot of activity, just wish more of it was good.
