Besides the SS tools, which brand do you like for bowl turning?

Serious Toolworks http://www.serioustoolworks.com/woodturning-tools.php, their tools are modular you purchase one handle and then multiple inserts. The handle is made of 303 stainless and will not rust (especially when working with wet wood).

If you contact them they will provide the bowl gouges in whatever grind you want. I got mine in fingernail. Also all the gouges have two sides so you can have two different grinds or the same grind on both sides to minimize trips to the grinder. It requires no tools to change the inserts.

I also have many Robert Sorby tools but I use them less often.

IMHO the doug Thompson lathe tools are the beast out there. They hold and edge forever really decreasing your sharpening time. Doug backs his tools as we would our own reputation..Bill.. http://www.thompsonlathetools.com/
