Busy Spring & Summer

It has been a busy period in the workshop and on the grounds. Several projects were on the go simultaneously. Pictures are attached.

One was a raised garden bed for one of our daughters. She had requested it for Christmas as she has a bad back and it was completed in time for planting this spring.

Another was the replacement and expansion of part ouf our deck. The major part was completed two years ago with the lower deck scheduled last year but Covid-19 put a hold on that with a shortage of materials and lockdowns. The original portion only went between the back steps and garage, but it was expanded to allow better acces for my wife to the clothes line. Our original clothes line tree was lost to the Emarald Ash Borer. As you can see, even my dear wife got into the act in building it.

The doll cradle made of oak was a 3rd birthday gift for one of our great-grandaughters. I have another to make before next year for another turning 3.

The cutting board was a Christmas gift for a grandaughter and husband but was only cmpleted this spring due to the pandemic and dificulty getting the wood I wanted. It's made of maple and cherry.

Two more projects were just completed but I have no pictures yet.

I hope everyone has been able to keep safe from Covid-19 and all the terrible weather events going on.

Take care.

John
