Marc,
Here is some good news for you on documentation for the Belt Sander and Bandsaw. The Belt Sander only had one real change over the years and that was going from a 1-1/4" to a 2-1/2" dust collection port. It is an easy and worth while change to make. I did it on my 1977 Belt Sander. Any Manual will give you the operating information and except for the Dust Chute difference, even newer ones will give you the parts list and diagrams. Your Bandsaw is from the "Goldie" time period of the early 1960's. Any early manual up to the change to the aluminum table will have the correct operating, parts lists and drawings information. In both cases getting manuals from 1964 or later will have the current part numbers. Remember all part numbers changed under Magna American Corporation in1964.
As for the paint, It is nice you have the "Green" Hammered Finish Paint to use for the Jointer which doesn't have any of the silver paint on it. The Bandsaw uses the Goldie paint colors. I have used the Rustoleum Hammered Finish paint in Copper and Oatmeal for the Goldie colors and are a near perfect match for the original colors. If you need to paint the Belt Sander and want to keep it the original gray color SS sells gray touch up paint but it is a bit pricey because it is a custom color made specifically for Shopsmith. The gray will also work for the Pro Planer for any touchups needed or desired. Just know the paint formulation changed October 2001 so use the correct paint for the year your tools were made. The "Greenie" and "Goldie" paint SS sells is not a Hammered Finish Paint.
