This REALLY worked well

This REALLY worked well
I wanted to make some CZIs from faux wood laminate but the laminate was about 2cm too thick. No planer, no router bit to trim it down. I did have a box of six 505531 sanding sleeves, one completely worn down. I needed one that was 60 grit but these were medium and fine. Several years back someone posted here a sandpaper deal from either Lee Valley or Peachtree and I bought a lifetime pack of everything from 60 to 200+. So I made one but peeling off the old sandpaper, using it as a pattern and cutting the 60 grit. I had to splice one end which can be seen in the picture. I used the cardboard tube from a drapery material roll (free from fabric store) to make a form to clamp it to the sleeve. It worked.

Beautiful ZCIs! Also, nice ingenuity on making your own sanding sleeve.
