Hello,

I'm needing some info on the correct adapter to fit my Nova G3 chuck up to my new 1947 10E. I've done a bit of searching on this forum and can see it's possible but could not verify if it was for my old model of lathe.

If someone could please let me know where to find this adapter, part #, etc.. I'd appreciate it.

thanks,

The 10E and 10ER models have the same 5/8in. quill shaft as the Mark V, Mark II and Mark VII. I purchased an adapter from Penn State Industries for my Barracuda lathe chuck. I believe it is a 3/4in. and is available on Amazon, just search for Shopsmith and it should pop up in the search results.

Well, I think I may have what you need, but I'm not sure ??!! (I got a box of SS stuff at an auction and this one piece was in it… I *think* it might be what you need. It definitely fits my SS quill.)

Here's a pic - is this what you need?

Hi,

The Nova G3 has a bunch of adapter options, what you want is the one that go to a 5/8" plain end.

I didn't shop for price but here is at least one place that has them:

Here is a picture of the G3 with shopsmith adapter:
