To add to this, I walked into a fairly large news stand in one of the major malls here in Tampa Fl. There was not a magazine in the place! None! I talked to the owner and he said that after the lock down for Covid he stopped all magazines. Just Carried the other stuff news stands usually carry
Snacks, candy, cigs, cigars, assorted stuff all under $5 to $10 dollars. Said business was as good or better than when he carried magazines and newspapers. Overhead is cut and he does not have to bother cycling stock (getting rid of old copy). Also said almost nobody bought a newspaper they were just taking up room.
