Thanks Dennis, it was fun to design and figure out how to make it both sturdy and easy to renew when the sisal carpet gets destroyed. A new sisal runner only costs about $35, but buying a new post would cost a lot more, and would probably not be big enough. They are usually about a foot shorter.

Oh my God! I don’t think I can do anything better than the large plastic box, with a hood, that we have right now. Just about anything I could build would likely just make it more of pain to clean. Except maybe build a partially enclosed cabinet with a good ventilation system that exhausts to the outside.

Hmmm, that will probably rattle around in my brain, who knows what it would come up with. :D
