Hope you all have a healthy and prosperous 2022; and I hope you had some Black-eyed peas and cornbread to make it so.

I made a big pot of black-eyed peas with a large meaty smoked ham shank in it, and some wonderful cornbread, like I have every year since the mid-80s.

Here’s to hoping this coming year is better than 2021!

Happy New Year to all. We are having Louisiana crawfish boudin, collard greens cooked with ham hocks and dirty rice.

Hope everyone has a great 2022! 2021 was full of challenges for us. We moved from the mountains of N. AZ to the deserts of the Tucson area. Our new to us home needed a bit of TLC and the shop area was just an empty 40X80 uninsulated tin building. Now that the house and grounds have been tended to and the shop is about 95% operational, the coming year looks to be one full of sawdust and new projects.
