Question: Upgrade On/Off Switch from Toggle to newer Safety Switch

I recently upgraded to the PowerPro. In the upgrade kit, they included both the old style toggle switch and a newer style safety switch.

Since my machine is the older version, I installed the provided toggle switch. But, I got to looking at the newer safety switch and the case, and I think my older case could be modified to accept the newer safety switch.

But before I get in there and do irreparable harm with a small grinder, I thought I'd pose the question here on the forum - -
Has anyone modified their old toggle switch case to accept the newer safety on/off switch?

Unless one has children or other mental dwarfs frequenting their shop I think doing so is redundant.

I don't consider myself a mental dwarf but I do believe that a safety switch in the power line to your Shopsmith is worthwhile. However, I would not achieve that by modifying the headstock. Simply install the safety switch elsewhere in the service line with the actual switch mounted on/near the headstock.
