Hello, I recently  purchased a PowerPro from a guy who installed it into a greenie headstock case. I want to remove this and install it into my 50th anniversary headstock case. Unfortunately he threw away the instructions and the templates along with the metal template for mounting the motor. Does anyone still have these items and are willing to sell them or let me borrow them(I will pay shipping fees)?  Thanks.

I have a metal template, not sure if the paper templates are still usable. I can check later today. I don't recall if the printed instructions are online but the video from Shopsmith is and provides all the info you need.

I just found the 2 templates on the shopsmith website($10.98ea.) but there are no pics provided.... So I am not 100% sure if they are the ones I need.
I have searched for the PowerPro DIY instructions also on the website with no luck.

The DIY instructions are 556202, they are available. $26.24. (!)

To my recollection there were three paper templates. I could easily be wrong. One is pretty useless, a template for a 3/4" diameter round hole. Two, I think, for mounting holes for the electronics module. Seems like you could make those from the Greenie if you wanted to.

SS Customer Service should be able to check the BOM for the kit and get part numbers for everything included. You can check the templates and probably price the drilling guide against that. Sounds like you may not need to.

Tip: A depth control for the counter-sink would have been a time saver. I remember being extremely cautious with this part of the install and it took a while to keep checking the fit. And a 3/4" drill bit or step-drill bit for the new power cord hole in the motor pan. It was painful to watch this part of the video, most of which was edited out. Jim did it on the video with a file and the afore-mentioned 3/4" template.

I have the metal template but at the moment I don't know where the paper templates are. The manual may come with a template sheet which could make it worth the money if you don't find a paper template in pristine condition.

ETA: And just take your time with the counter-sink as mentioned above. I think it will help to get them all to the same depth. Mine are not so uniform.

Really disappointed in SS customer service that they never called back like they said they would(everything was on their website)! But, Thanks to the help of this forum I think I got what I need ordered.

If it is not too late, the motor pan template is the one you really don't need! The only motor pan mod is to increase the size of what was a motor mount hole to 3/4" to use for the power cord and strain relief. It is literally a 3/4" diameter circle drawn on a piece of nice paper.

BTW - I noticed in another thread that this is not the cord location used on new-build headstocks.

ETA the link with pics of a new build PowerPro motor pan: viewtopic.php?p=292263#p292263 There is no unused power cord hole, but there are several unused other holes. I prefer the power cord location pictured, if I did it over that's where I'd probably put it.
