I'm looking to try to standardize some of my bolts and see if I can find them with 5/32 hex key heads.
Incra on their gauges and sleds etc often use 1/4-20 and 1/4-28 bolts, but all with 3/16 hex key heads.
Does anyone know of a source for these bolts with 5/32 hex key heads?

The sizes have become pretty standard for the key size of cap screws. Not every one of them sticks to the standard but it's kind of a hit and miss thing. They rarely list the key size for a given screw so it can be even harder to find one you want. I would just get used to having another key around. The 1/4" bolts should all use the same size independent of the thread size. Similar subject came up in a bandsaw thread because the keeper screws under the table may have a different size socket.

1/4”-20 screws in both button-head and flat head styles generally use 5/32” hex drives. If you go to McMaster.com and filter for screws that use 5/32” hex drives, you’ll get some 2100 hits in various head styles and thread sizes.

I'm impressed, and feeling stupid for not trying that. McMaster Carr is definitely the best.

5/16-18 set screws and small diameter cap screws also have 5/32 hexsockets. A 4mm hex is essentially the same as 5/32.
