SHOP NOTES:
When I grow up I either want to be Adam Savage or Chris from Clickspring. Actually, I'm OK being Scott, but I would enjoy hanging out with these two guys. One thing the three of us have in common is our respect for the capabilities of a die filing machine. In this video, we'll take a look at how to use the Shopsmith 18" Jigsaw as a fine stationery file. Be sure to check back for the mid-week follow-up where we'll address using abrasives on this tool for wood "filing".

One final "trick" that we can do with the Shopsmith Jigsaw (or a clone like this one) is to use it as a reciprocating sander. This is also the last video I'll be shooting in the garage shop, so be sure to catch the sneak-peek of our new temporary digs in my sister's basement at the end of this video.
