Criminally Overlooked Joinery Machine You Probably Never Heard Of

SHOP NOTES: The "Joint-Matic" was a stand-alone router-based tool that was produced by Shopsmith in the '90s. It was a reimagining of an earlier, expensive, and frankly overbuilt tool known as the "Strong Designs Joint-Matic", and was criminally overlooked by non-Shopsmith woodworkers who assumed that it must be a toy. Boy, were they wrong. This is the first of a short series of videos on this versatile tool and there's lots more to come, including how to use it to make a complete raised panel door. Is it as versatile as Matthias Wandel's Pantorouter? Nope. But then again you don't have to build it or pay $1000+ for it!

BTW, sorry about the "Youtube face" in the thumbnail! Yes, I did bring shame upon my family.

Be careful to study the details of the plastic slide. We'll talk more about this in the next video. I shared more about this on this blog post: http://shopsmith-tool-hunter.blogspot...
