If you are using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, be aware that both of them have a serious security flaw. Make sure you upgrade to the new "fixed" version to safeguard your system.
Google had a flaw in Chrome, and since Microsoft built Edge from Chrome, they inherited the same flaw.

Thank you for this alert. Another round of non-refuseable bandaid "updates" on the way from Bill. Really not much to be done since Microsoft is the de facto global software supplier.
Software is an amazing commodity. The more defective it is the more is sold. Defective software? Well we will fix the problem in the next edition, so buy that one and problem solved. If a car had the same defect rate as software, the DOT would shut down the car manufacturer.
I recently inquired (at Micro Center) about ordering a new laptop with Linux installed. They can't do it - their agreement with Microsoft prohibits it. Any computer they sell has to be loaded with the latest Microsoft crap. Jeez...
Microsoft, Google, Facebook. I have no doubt they have been aggregating information on everyone, for years. I knew the "free'" Google search service was too good to be true, and sooner or later a price would be paid. Such information is GOLD to marketers. But marketing is the least of it. It is absolutely inevitable that data from online search and social media activity will eventually be used to categorize people politically. The Thought Police are on their way.
The last straw for me was when "Edge", at startup, began asking me questions about my politics - like was my "knowledge" and "thinking'" on certain matters sufficiently "up to date". The smirking arrogance of the Gates crowd is absolutely staggering. And they wield trillions in wealth power. A perpetual and un-assailable global tyranny in the making.

I believe that HP sells computers preloaded with Linux. You likely won't find them in any of the mainstream vendor's stores however. Week before last, my Wife needed a new laptop as her old one was dying fast. We went to Bestbuy and picked out the one we wanted and bought it. It came with Windows 11 preloaded. We simply deleted Windows 11 and replaced it with Ubuntu Linux.
Like many things in life, if you want something done right, you need to do it yourself.
Redoing a new laptop with Linux might be a bit of a challenge, but if you have the knowledge, you can do it.
A bit of research turns up this. It might steer you to a preloaded Linux laptop if the information is up to date.
