OK... I know there are probably a thousand choices here, but I am just getting started back into woodworking after a very long layoff, and I would like to know what the SS Community feels are worthwhile publications both on general woodworking and more specifically, wood turning. I am looking for trade news, tool reviews, project ideas and plans, etc.

I am new to wood turning and would also like recommendations for a good book/video to introduce new wood turners to the art.

Thanks in advance.

"woodturning design" is good for turners.

Tons-O-Choices out there.
I subscribe to Shop Notes but I really prefer Fine Woodworking, it inspires me where Shop Notes is practical applications and helpful jigs.
I should just subscribe to Fine Woodworking and get it over with, I spend more at the bookstore picking it up.
Those are just a couple.

I'm not into turning yet, so I'd go with the site wood turners on that subject.

On line, lumberjocks.com seems to have a lot of turners blogging. Woodturnerscatalog.com has articles.
