More accurate though and multi dimensional.

Looks like that would work and mount as is on a SS dedicated drill press.

I thought it was a bit over the top when I looked this morning. Then I found myself in the shop adjusting my SS Drill Press / Biscuit Joiner for an 0.047" offset between the "A" sides and "B" sides of some biscuit joints. Now I kinda want one. :)

Well, I guess it is only over the top if you don't need it. :) :)

iGaging sells their tools everywhere. Interestingly, Chipsfly says it is only available from them. That seems to be true. If you search for the product number (from the PDF manual from Chipsfly) or the name the only hit is Chipsfly. It is not even listed on the iGaging web site.

I wonder what is up with that.

Actually if you read the instructions for this product, at the bottom of the last page of the instructions it says "Designed in California by iGaging, Made in China". It is possible that chipsfly.com commissioned iGaging to make it exclusively for them. However, if you check the Master Catalog for iGaging (http://www.igaging.com/iGAGING%20Master ... arks)..pdf) it shows it as a new product that is coming soon. There is both a 4" and a 6" version of it. See page 78 of the catalog (included below). I do believe that you will be able to buy this from iGaging and their retailers soon based on this, i.e. I don't think it is exclusive to chipsfly.com.

I'd love to have a drill press DRO, almost as much as I'd like a fine adjustment for the quill so it would be more useful.
