Table and Carrage differences between the 500 till now. Are there any differences besides the change from the lifting lever on the carrage and the lifting wheeled crank?

Tried a search for these answers but come up cold.

I am attempting to gather parts for making a mini MK V for table saw use only and want to use the newer 510 style table with the proper carrage. Seen the older style carrages on ebay but have some doubts about them fitting the newer way-tubes and then the 510 table support leg differences.. Any light on this is greatly appreciated..

The 500 carriage is not as wide front to back as the newer ones because the 'legs/support tubes' are further apart. This is why a new carriage comes with the upgrade. Way tubes are the same.

What kind of table saw operations are you planning for a mini? I find that most Mark V users want a "maxi" Mark V when it comes to using the table saw function. I am just finding your plans a bit odd and am curious.

I got this MKV headstock mounted on a SS base that is (was) cut to about half the original size (width). I can use it for my jointer as is but would also like to use it as a table saw.. There is enough room on the way-tubes with the headstock slit to the left for a carrage to be added but doing so then prevents the use of the jointer... (No space for the plastic connector).

Guess I can get around that by buying and using longer way-tubes.

As far as a table saw. Was just thinking of getting a carrage to accomidate the 520 table setup so I could use my floating tables if needed.

Just though all this would be a little easier for a portable unit for doing some home repairs and general construction.
