I am a seasoned wood worker who has just bought a used shopsmith Mark V. I need to learn it's basic set up an operation, but I don't know where to start. Is there a tutorial online for beginner users?

This is an excellent CD to have. The instructor is very, very well qualified to teach this subject. I believe this CD would answer most all of your questions related to the Mark V.

Shopsmith has a book available called "Power Tool Woodworking for Everyone" It will show you everything you need to know on the use of the Shopsmith.

This book came standard with the Shopsmith. This book is also available online (free) to read but not able to find it. Maybe someone will know where to find it. I would still buy the book to keep handy in the shop.

A big YES to getting a copy of the book!

The online one is for the current machines, if you happen to have an older version shopsmith and you want a age appropriate book you will have to shop online (ebay etc) for a used copy of that book.

If you feel like it you can add your town or state or both to your profile and we might have a member near by who would be willing to give you a fast primer on the shopsmith.
