Amazing job on the restoration. It looks great for a 60+ year old machine. Mine kind of looks like your 'before' picture. Maybe my winter project will be to restore mine. Although, I can't imagine I can get it to look like yours. My shopsmith was bought by my mom for my dad the year I was born. 68 years ago. I hope to pass it on to one of my kids. Great machines.

That’s one special Shopsmith you have. Refurbishment is mostly patience and elbow grease. Plenty of parts still out there, for now anyway. There is so much knowledge on this forum, past and present, you can learn to do almost anything with regards to a Shopsmith. I would go for it and give your kids something to remember.

Very nice job on the restore. Your accent colors look to be dark bronze. I'm considering using that color for my entire 10ER with maybe the motor end caps in bright hammered copper. I just recently scored the speed changer for my machine and will dig into the restore as soon as it arrives.

Pretty sure it’s hammered bronze or copper left over from the remodel on my house. Speed changer is really slick and works very well. Enjoy your restoration!
