Started a couple months ago. I think it’s coming out pretty good, I have final modifications I’ll do for tool storage once I figure out exactly how I will use it. I know for sure as a lathe and have some parts coming to store the table on the machine.
All hardware is stainless from Bolt Depot
Burch top and shelf from Home Depot, one piece ripped into 2, $200.00, great buy.
Speed changer works great and machine is quiet.
Anyhow a before and after pics to this point, I will post final set when complete

I'm currently disassembling a 10E and a 10ER for refurbishment/restorations, and if I end up with half of the results you have I will be happy.

Thank you John and RCZ. It came out pretty good but a couple levels down from some others I’ve seen. I still have a lot to learn.
This will be a lathe and learning how to use it will be a whole new experience that I’m looking forward to.

That's a color scheme that I haven't seen before, and it looks sharp! You did a beautiful job on the brightwork as well.

When you get your final pics, you should definitely add this machine to the Gallery of Restorations thread.

I like the looks of your lower shelf, and the added mass will be a plus for lathe work. It appears that you have it mounted to the legs, as well as to the bench via the threaded rods. I can think of a couple of likely benefits, but what was your reasoning for adding the threaded rods?

I like the caster setup. Probably a lot smoother than using the original retractable casters that had the metal wheels and a nice option for adding casters.

Nice color contrast on the Belt Cover, Speed Changer, Motor Mount and Carriage.

I am curious as to why you extended the bench top past the metal bench end on the Base/Arm end of the tool.

BuckeyeDennis- I’m not 100% on color scheme, had some left over paint and tried it, may go back to gray.
The lower shelf sits on the wood ledge that the casters screw into. The threaded rods are nutted above and below each shelf and the shelves support each other, it also allows me to raise the shelf or cut the ends and lower it. Originally I was going to just suspend the shelf by the rods only, I thought that might look kinda cool but opted for more storage. As it sits it is rock solid.

Russ- the casters work great and lift about 1/2” so clears all the dips, cracks, epoxy patches on my ratty concrete floor.
The extra wood extended on end is going to be for some Simple Wood Working carbide tools, I’m pretty sure, I still have some negotiating to do. My back has issues on occasion and if I am going to be standing at the machine for hours I figure handy is better.

I am trying to find the floating center and floating center nut, if someone has them available or know where to find, it would be greatly appreciated.:-)

I have seen the Floating Center and Nut come up for sale on ebay from time to time but more often for sale still in the Tailstock. Having an extra Tailstock is not necessarily a bad thing if you combine it with an additional Extension Table and Extension Table Bracket. I have that on my Model 10ER which provides support at both ends of the tool.

I see your Metal Bench Ends are the early ones before they came predrilled with the Retractable Caster's mounting holes.

Yes I may need to buy a whole tailstock but hoping not. Can you elaborate on how the extra extension table and bracket comes into play. It sounds interesting but I can’t quite visualize it. Thanks Russ!
