It looks like they got all the rain that the dry places are begging for. Nature never distributes the water right.

Compared to them mounteenus areas, Lexington is flat land and cricks run slowly.
When the water speeds fast down the hollers and comes to a pass or narrow place the flow becomes wider. Ditto them flat areas where folks have put up buildings.
Those flat places are not called flood plains just because it sounds nice.
Also they got a lot more rain than Lexington.
All is well here(no SS trying to swim).
