Re: Mark VII a start and a long ways to go..
Yellow jumper IS required.
The part attached to the blue(L1) wire terminal is for the pilot light center connection.
You appear to be also missing the metal lamp light shield.
More coming.
More arrived. viewtopic.php?p=128417#post128417

Thanks JPG- it’s starting to make sense, I’m still missing some parts but might be able to fabricate those. The post on switch is going to be a huge help.

Thanks, I ran it off and it goes into my VII manual with all the rest. Going to play with it while watching the Snow Bowl in Buffalo

All wired up except power cord, coming Wednesday. Will tighten things up then and bench test hopefully this weekend. I noticed buttons were switched, probably because the colored light lens only worked on reverse mode side. I’ll figure that out later along with the light. Have a feeling a lot of odds and ends are in my future. Couple pics

Re: Mark VII a start and a long ways to go..
Well I tried to run it today and the 1st time it rotated very slow and then nothing but the buzz you hate to hear and a thrown breaker.
Changed out the switch and with alternate switch and left it out of the housing it purred like a kitten. Put switch, keyway and cam into housing and just got that buzz you hate to hear and no rotation. Took the switch out of the housing to try and see if it would run like it did before and just the buzz.
Too bad I quit drinking cuz I could use a buzz right about now... I don't think its the switch, maybe the start relay or capacitor?
On the good side I found an additional switch with lamp cover and jumper I received before Christmas and forgot about.
At least I can hide my own Easter eggs again this year.

I found the start relay on ebay, does anybody have an "or equal" for the capacitor? Greatly appreciated if you do.
Thanks!
