I Recently Purchased A Shopsmith 2000 From My Mother In Law That She Ended Up With In Her Divorce. The Thing Came With A Million Pieces And I Know Nothing About It So I Only Us It As A Table Saw But Would Love To Know How To Use All The Pieces. I Am Not Even Sure If They All Go To It As I Think Her Husband Had Some Other Shopsmith Tools. Any Advice Is Great And Would Love To Know Where To Find A Manual.

The best advice I can give is to go to the "Search" function in the red line just above your post. Type in the words - Sawsmith 2000 - then click Go. You will find quite a few discussions about the machine. Maybe even one Will help!

This link gives you the part numbers for the manuals and a little bit of other info that might be of interest.

If you could post photo images of the items you are trying to identify we might be able to help.
BTW, welcome to the forum. I believe you will find a lot of help here. This is a very friendly and giving group.

You might want to try:
http://www.ssug.org/index.php?option=co ... t&catid=14
The ssug.org site has a section for the 2000 (see above link). I think there maybe a few owners or previous owners that might help out. There is also a section for "wanted items" and a place to "sell" should that become of interest to you. It is free but you will have to sign up to post.

Hi JSK,
Assuming your Sawsmith 2000 isn't in pieces itself (there are a lot of internal parts), there were not many accessories made for that table saw. It did come in several versions differing in table extensions and rip fences.
There were table inserts available for sawing, dado, and molder operations. Also a special molder head, a miter with grip, there were also T-nut stop assembles that locked into the miter slots. Add in the usual saw guards, featherboards, and arbors and that's about it as far as I know. As Dusty said some photos would be helpful.

The saw itsself is in fine condition i just got a bunch of boxes with shopsmith stuff in them. I did learn why the saw blade is moveable i guess it acts like a radial arm saw. I will get some pictures tommorrow and let you guys gander at them but i believe alot of the stuff goes to a different machine. Someone can probably answer this seasy enough i think the arbor is a 1 inch arbor for the saw blade but the dado set that was with it i think is a 5/8 arbor. I am not the most experienced at woodworking but i am learning and i love it plus my wife is expecting a porch swing out of all these boxes i got in my shop. All help is greatly appreciated.
