Brad point bits

Good Morning my friends:

Has anyone sharpened brad point bits? If you have, what is the best method you have used?

Hi bpr,

I forget where I first read it, but I've tried using a small conical Dremel fine grinder tip, inserting it into the drill-tip's 2 "flutes" at an angle that matches the driill-helix at that point. I used this on some very old rusty foot-long Brad Point bits I inherited, and I was pleased enough for something I had got free.

I use hand held diamond paddles. Haven't yet got a good do on the 1/8" and 1/4" bits. But the others are sharp. Use the same paddles for forstner bits.
