Anyone Remember the Shopsmith paint sprayer & compressor?
I bought my first Shopsmith Mk V in 1965 at a garage sale for $90. It was a 1955 model & it came with a paint sprayer and a diaphragm type oil less compressor that was powered by the Shopsmith powerhead. I’ve never seen or heard of one since. Anybody else ever had one?

Here’s my restored greenie-vintage model. Even has the original hose and couplings!

I even picked this up on eBay recently - wish I had it while I was fumbling through the restoration with no instructions!

Re: Anyone Remember the Shopsmith paint sprayer & compressor?
I have both the old 1950's/1960's Magna Sprayer compressors but so far have not gotten around to restoring one. John's above is a great example of one having the complete kit. I do have the later Air System compressor made for Shopsmith Inc. by Campbell Hausfeld from 1990. One is shown in the picture below.
_ .
The one pictured above has a standard SPT hub on it instead of the special coupler it comes with.
For more information about the two Shopsmith/Magna Compressors see the compressors section of SPT's What When and Where at the link below
