Patternmaker's vice

Post by 8iowa »

Last year I purchased a Wheeler Engineering Patternmaker's vice and have since found it very useful for a wide range of woodworking tasks. They are on sale now for $62.99 at http://www.midwayusa.com, Product # 577167.

It mounts and swivels 360 degrees on a 5/8 threaded shaft wich I have extended thru a bench dog hole on my workbench. It's easy to mount and easy to take off.

That looks like a great vise! I will have to remember that one next time I am buying. Thanks for sharing.

I had heard of MidwayUSA before and knew they were near Columbia, MO, but never thought to look for a web site. They're just down the road from me. Since I'm not into guns I never thought to look for them. Thanks for the info.

Woodcraft has an identical vice for 114.99 so I thought the $62.99 at Midway was an exceptional deal.
