I hate sanding, but with the SandFlee I have come to hate it a bit less. I was unloading it from my work trailer last fall and not paying attention I lifted it from the top and somehow ended up with six stitches in my thumb and a sore foot from the fall. I picked up some gate handles from HD this week and now I have a secure place to grab when moving it to and from the SS. I would be interested if others have had difficulty in moving their SandFlee and their solutions.

Deburring IS NECESSARY! It may even be cheaper than lawyers/lawsuits!

Only edges designed with the express INTENT to cut should be able to.

Yes I have tried to figure out a way to grab the Sand Flee. I am certainly impressed with you solution. Tomorrow I will make a stop at the local hardware. Thank you for sharing with us. fjimp

Great idea, ldh! I agree that it's been "less than ergonomically friendly" to move the Sand-flee. I've always lifted it with my forearms underneath the bottom, and I store it on top of a storage cabinet that's just the right height so I don't have to bend over to pick it up.

And yes, I've gotten some scratches from sharp edges as well. Thankfully no stitches. Hope you recover quickly!

That is nice solution. I've been dreaming of a sandflee - seems like a great tool. They now have a smaller 9" model - I wonder if they will make it available for the Shopsmith? Alec
