Anyone ever tried using a cork belt on a Strip Sander? They are used similar to leather strops for fine polishing of metal and glass, and I'm interested in dressing and polishing edges of cut glass. I've found cork belts in 1x42" size, but curious if anyone else has tried them.

They are cloth backed, and are pre-coated with an abrasive grit, you can get them in 180 - 600 grits and "polishing"...
Here's one source.

Interesting! I wonder how durable they are compared to leather?
