Headstock Bearings

Post by johnmccrossen »

I would like to find out the bearing part numbers for the drive and idler shafts for the Mark V Model 500 headstock. I recently acquired an older Mark V from an estate. (1962 or 1963 vintage). It seemed to have a lot of vibration at higher speeds. I ordered and replaced both belts. When doing so, I noticed these felt a little rough. I do not see these bearings listed separatly on parts list for headstock. Any suggestions from rebuilders? Thanks,

Hey John!! do you still have the gilmer drive belt? if so you might think about upgrading to th v-drive, and a new quill. I have an old greenie, I upgraded mine and it runs real smooth.
Happy Woodworking and God Bless!!

It's an anniversary model with 1 1/8 hp motor and poly v drive. Also was already upgraded to two bearing quill a few years ago. Thanks.
