I finally completed my new Hard Maple workbench. After a whole lot of dollars and over 100 hours, the bench is done. I could have spent less with a lesser expensive wood but I wanted to only do this one time. Turned out decent and boy is this thing heavy. I used a plan from Woodswmith Magazine, No. 173.

If you want to read the article about the build, it can be found on my website at: http://www.oldaveswoodshop.com/Workbench.php

WOW!!! That should last more than one lifetime. I saw a show on TV last week where the host encouraged everyone to sign thier work. This piece really warrents that. Thanks for the picture.

Beautiful work Dave (or maybe I should address you as "Master Craftsman Dave"). You should be real proud of yourself. You obviously put a lot of hard work into it.

May I ask $$$?

Agrees with with mickyd!

You defiantly need to sign and maybe have your likeness etched into that one!

Beautiful Workbench, Dave! Heck-this is a piece of Furniture! Albeit, Shop furniture.

I have reviewed your site and find you have made yourself into a wonderful craftsman. Gotta admit I was surprised to find the dovetails in the kitchen drawers. Did you make the dentil and other molding on your kitchen cabinets?

Do you own any Shopsmith equipment?

Wow, that thing makes me want to make sawdust. Beautiful. Will it go in your living room? LOL. Thanks for sharing your craftsmanship with us.

Best regards,
