SPT Cart from leftovers

Headrest and tilt base from my double tilt upgrade, 8x12 Douglas fir cut offs and 2x6 scrap from my brother’s house construction. I did buy a 1-3/4 conduit from Home Depot $32. No telling how much of that I have thrown away cleaning up job sites
Don’t think I’ll have to worry about it tipping over :D .

Slick!

Were you tempted to add a motor, belt and pulleys to create a double power stand?

It looks like you have a pretty serious stand-alone lathe in the background. I’ve been sorely tempted myself. What kind, and how do you like it?

It’s a Delta 46-460. I bought a used Power Pro several years back and the guy threw this in with with it. He was into lathe work and had gone to a full sized Nova. I like it but I still like my 10ER the universal tool rest too.
I did think about adding a motor but I already have a tool stand with my jointer mounted that I can swap around.

Larry,

That's a nice SPT holder.

Speaking of your Model 10ER I was curious how much you raised it above the conventional bench. It looks like about 8 layers of plywood.

Thanks
It is 8 layers of plywood and measures 5-7/8”. Center of spindle is 45-1/2” above the floor.

Very nice looking. I have something similar in the works, but of course far less practical.

Top heavy it isn't! Looks like it would be hard to tip. Nice job.
