Hello all: Newbie here, Thanks for the add to this awesome site! I just picked up this pretty complete package which is in very good lightly used condition but I am confused as to which parts list I should use? It is a MARK V with serial # 062388 so it looks like an '88 built but is it actually a model 555 or something else? I couldn't find any references to a model555. Any info is appreciated!, Thanks, Bob

Here are the pictures, as can be seen it needs a little clean up here and there but I think I saved it in time before it got too bad. Everything works and appears to have all the pieces except the v belts etc. The cover hanging down and sitting on the shaft is only loose rivets holding the cover in place.
Thanks

From what I can see, it appears to be a model 500. I've never heard of a model 555 and don't think one was ever made.

Without seeing the table(s), the carriage looks like it could be a 505, 510, or 520. This webpage will help you determine which:

The belt cover should have sheet metal screws and tinnerman clips to hold it on, similar to what hold on the motor pan.

Thank you for the info, it is a model 510. I appreciate the response and look forward to making it fully operational again.

The Model Numbers on those stickers can be confusing. Needless to say it is a Mark V and it is the Table/Fence System that determines if it is a 500 (the original table system), 510/505 or a 520. The Serial Number is the date it was made as those stickers show a date code rather than an actual serial number like older Shopsmith's have.
