Unidentified Shopsmith 10-ER part?

Hello all,

I found this part in my fathers shop next to his 10-ER Shopsmith. I am unable to identify what it is or if it even is a Shopsmith part. Anybody recognize this? (images attached) The bottom part houses a loop which would probably sit on some kind of mast. The loop has an interior diameter of 1 7/8”. On the bottom is stamped “40JG”. The two triangular vanes are identical with SD20-30 stamped on the top. All three parts slide up and down the ½” square shaft and can be secured with thumb screws.

Thank you. Any help is appreciated.

I can’t say what it is, but I’m confident it’s not a Shopsmith part. The numbers in the castings don’t match the part numbering format of Magna during the 10-ER era. Good luck with it!

I was thinking it looked like some kind of tractor part, but not really one I've ever seen. Then it reminded me of this famous Far Side panel: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cow_tools ... artoon.png
