Are these shopsmith?
I have had these for a long time and never knew what they were for. I don't think they are SS.
Diameter 1.234, one section 1.748, Hole .875, offset .231. They may be slightly off that size. [attachment=0]SS-part2.jpg[

Re: Are these shopsmith?
They look like Jointer Eccentric Mounting Posts. See if they fit into the SPT mounting holes in the Headrest.

Re: Are these shopsmith?
If those are ODs in inches they're too large for Shopsmith SPT mounts. Is 1.748 a length? That's about the diameter of the bench and way tubes. They do look like the joiner eccentric tubes though.

Re: Are these shopsmith?
Russ I have no spt attachments to try these on, I am not sure at what point they came into my possession, could be up to 70 yrs.
Ed the length of one section is 1.748 making the total 3.3416 and the measurements are in inches. Anybody have a use for them just pay shipping.

Re: Are these shopsmith?
You are correct sir! Seems they'll be good and tight in the holes too.

Re: Are these shopsmith?
They seem to be machined rather than cast/machined. Maybe early version.

Re: Are these shopsmith?
Jpg,
I don't remember how my Dad came by these, or why since we never had spt connections. They are at least 70 yrs old so your hunch of early version is probably right on.... :-)

Re: Are these shopsmith?
The off set tubes are a SS Inc. thingie so 50 yr is more likely.

Re: Are these shopsmith?
My Greenie Jointer has offset mounts but they are not like the later SS Inc. versions. They are solid, not tubes, and have about half the offset (1/8"?) of later stuff. They might not be original, but I think they are circa 1957. They have sufficient offset to manage the eccentric Idler adjustment.
