Maximum Diameter on the Lathe

Post by KCollins »

I'm working on making a clock body that resembles a pocket watch. According to the plan it needs to be 13.5" in diameter. Will the SS lathe handle that diameter? What's its max? I did a search and there is 600 plus entries on the topic of the lathe. So I think I'll get my answer quicker this way.

Thanks guys!!!

The max swing over the way tubes is 16-1/2" diameter. I'd recommend a speed reducer (or PowerPro) for anything that large, however.
