Just finished the tool trays for the Guys (the twins are 4 months old). The project took much longer than expected, but between grandfatherly duties, getting the other daughter married off, and daddy-do time, I'm amazed I finished it before they graduated high school. But it was fun, a nice way to spend evenings rather than watching TV.
Baltic Ply, Basswood handle. Pine tools. "non-toxic" craft paints, and a coat of shellac. Plans from Woodmagazine.

Those are really cool tools and trays, Gary!

The "Guys" might use them for teething blocks, but I'd bet in later years, they subconsciously remember the shapes of the tools.
