Shopsmith on Amazon

Anybody noticed the new to me Shopsmith store on Amazon? https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/0226 ... F9E2CE31F9
I think it’s fairly recent as they talk about the “Power Pro smart motor” on the Mark 7. I wish they would correct a few items on the Technical Details section, like 120/240 instead of just Voltage 240 and the rpm as 250 - 10,000 instead of just 250. Minimum speed says 10 rpm. The descriptive paragraphs are good but the technical details should back them up.

Thanks. Interesting. Also I am not a fan of them calling them "Marks" in the title bar. Adding the "s" makes it sound silly to me.

Clearly rushed. Maybe something the new owner wanted to get up and available before Christmas. If free delivery applies then I'm all for it.

Compare the prices on Amazon with those on the Shopsmith site. Amazon is significantly more expensivefor anything other than the Mark's.

The 510 to 520 Upgrade Kit (555982) Amazon...$825.69 compared to Shopsmith...$575.69


Some items are comparably priced. Bandsaw is an example. Buyer beware.

On complete units, Amazon gives you the option for $250 additional to get a full 4 year warranty on everything that comes with your unit. That is parts, labor, and return shipping for repairs. That is significantly better than the Shopsmith warranty. Also, depending on your credit score you can finance up to 48 months with interest rates as low as 10% APR. Amazon shipping cost for complete units is less also.
