Waste Not, Want Not; with that Hammered Brown Paint

Post by nuhobby »

Just a side note about my watch tinkering, which frequently employs doo-dads on my Shopsmith.

This one was pretty far gone, but a lot of sentimental value. An experiment :)

Before: Disintegrated shellac, and pinholes into the nickel dial:

With working innards now, and a bit of up-cycling on the dial!
(Close inspectors will notice other swaps. Yeah, I've got a lot of spare pieces to use.)

Thanks!

I masked and added a wee bit of hammered paint so that the "steering wheel spokes" don't get confused with the "hands".
