As some of you know I have been redoing my shop.
The two pictures in my shop all buttoned up and covered up
Picture 3 is my Tools uncovered
Picture 4 and 5 show my SPT sytorage system and my table hanger.
I have Three main tables one is always mounted on my 520 the other two are 510 tables one is a spare ( has a warp as does the other two) one is made into a router table.
I keep my tools all covered for two reasons one so anyone can't just look into my garage and see what I have and to protect them from rust (Florida mega high humidity and salt in the air).
I once had my workbench under the window but since I installed the air conditioner I can't stand there and work so I mounted it on wheels and moved it to the back wall. On the back side of the bench is sheet stock storage. Also notice on the end of the bench is a wood vise. I never use it but I have to relocate it to the front so it can be used without moving the bench.
My SPT storage solves a lot of my problems I once stored the Bandsaw above the water heater in the corner but it was too high to lift plus you had to have you arms fully extended to reach over the heater. This new location is perfect. I store some of jigs behind it.
Mounting my work bench on wheels and getting the rolling cabinets were the best two things I did. I can now wheel things out to use but shove them back and park my truck inside along with Momma's van.
Notice I store stuff under the window and in front of the side door, I figure if someone breaks in they will have to move a bunch of junk to get in. I hope the noise of all of this is enought to alert me or the neighbors to a problem.

OK, so the thing that caught my eye first was... "Cool, he's got an air conditioner in his SHOP!!!" The table hanger is cool too.

ShopSmith MarkV-520 with Belt Sander, Jointer, Band Saw, Strip Sander, Scroll Saw and Biscuit Jointer SPTs and a DC-3300...

LEGS LEGS Not the frame! See his 510 router table thread. The interest has disappeared after seeing a closeup.robinson46176 wrote:Looks a little like a bed frame?

By the way I park my truck and my wife's van in my garage every night. With my truck in place there is no way a thief can get my tools out. I'm real sensitive to thief since I lost my other compressor, a powe miter saw and a tool box filled with my "good" woodworking tools. By good I mean the tools left to me by my grandfather. I'm sure they are now sitting in some antiques collectors home instead of being used as they were designed for. Such a waste!!!!!!!
