Dear Shopsmith Officanados,
I'm taking delivery of my new Mark 7 later this week. I'm hoping for your opinion/advice about using 120v or 240v... What are your thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

I run mine on 230 and have a short adapter to convert it to 120 for portability. They run well either way. If you already have or need 230V outlets in your shop I would use them, otherwise 120 seems fine.
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your acquisition!

ArtTrek,
Welcome fellow Oregonian to the Shopsmith Forum.
I run my Power Pro Headstock V1 on 120. I haven't tried it on a 240 circuit yet. I was going to make an adapter so, like David, I could run it either way. I haven't gotten around to making the adapter plus the shop at my new home has limited (to one wall) outlets. I have had no problems running it on 120 so for the time being I will continue to run it that way.

Been running mine at 120 since I bought it new in 2014. Never has bogged down or complained.
