New to ShopSmith, Need Info
Just purchased my first ShopSmith. Cost me a case of beer. I'm looking for all the info I can get about this machine. Any help is appreciated. The serial number is either ER70669 or ER30669. The first digit is partially blocked by a rivet. Thanks!

Welcome to the Shopsmith Forum.
First, the serial number is likely ER30669 since by the time they were using 70669 it would no longer have the ER prefix. So, with serial number ER30669 you have is a Shopsmith Model 10ER made in the Eastern Plant and most likely in 1950. If the actual serial number differs from that we can give additional information to match it.
As for information about the Shopsmith Model 10E and 10ER there is a lot of information available on this site. At the link below you will find the topic Shopsmith Model 10's What When and Where I began which has a lot of information about them including some history.

In the Maintenance and Repair section one of the first topics listed is Everything E/ER - Technical info, documentation and links with helpful information on repair, maintenance and operations.
