When I enter a part number it tells me no such part number. I typing the part number off the Shopsmith belt. What’s up with that. Is it user error?

It might be a case where they have changed part numbers, or you are entering a manufacturer's number rather than the SS number.(?) Assuming it is a machine that they have a parts breakdown for, you can look it up there. (Start from "Parts" on the home page.) Or describe which belt you are looking for off of what kind of machine and someone here can help you out.

In the Mark 5/V/7 series, they upper belt has only changed significantly once, going from Gilmer style to Poly-V style in the early 60's (IIRC). The lower belt has only significantly changed once going from everything before it to PowerPro. So there are basically four belts in the series, last time I checked SS stocked them all. But I could see them dropping the Gilmer at some point. They don't stock any other parts that are unique to those headstocks and advocate upgrading to Poly-V everything. Which ain't cheap but is perhaps better.

How old is the belt? The part number has likely changed. SS does not do a good job cross referencing old part numbers vs new part numbers.

The "lower belt" also changed with the Mark VII (4" longer)
