I participated in one of Mike Young's online demos last September where he offered a discount on SS items. I did not choose to buy anything at that time. Currently he is offering a rare Saturday timeslot with what I am sure is a similar discount offer. I think the past discount has been 10%.

Is this really the best price for the PP Gen 2 headstock? Anyone know if they have offered any better discounts on the PP Gen 2 unit.

What was his offer? Was this to upgrade a conventional headstock to PowerPro or to upgrade a PowerPro to Gen 2?

I attended one last fall. IIRC the discount varied depending on the item, but he was offering some discount on everything shopsmith sells. I bought a bandsaw upgrade kit

I think I got a discount on my PowerPro upgrade from attending a webinar with Doug Reid. Way back around 2011 I think. I was the only one online with Doug in that session so after he did his standard demo we spent the rest of the time talking about Shopsmith stuff in general.

I don't know yet what the offer is. The email invitation stated:

"Sign Up Now – Don’t Miss Our Live Online Demonstration & Sales Event!" and "Save on All Shopsmith Machines, Upgrades, and Accessories."

The focus will be on the PowerPro Gen 2 and the 7 functions of the Shopsmith. I guess I will have to wait to find out the discounts.

I too attended his demo online about two years ago. Since then I have been able to make several purchases through him; all with discounts.

Most recent was about 8 months ago when he helped me pick out a lathe chuck.

Not only do you get a discount but he can help you make the right selections on things.

A great way to buy, IMO.

Unfortunately I have been sick with flue and was unable to view the demo.

Does he give discounts outside of the demo days?

I believe that he does. He always told me to call him when I decided to purchase something for his discount. It can not hurt to call or email him to ask.
