I am seeking the bearing mfg and part numbers for the Poly-V - 2 bearing quill with the newer 1 piece design.

Can anyone help here.

Please elaborate on 'NEWER one piece design'.

The output shaft end bearing on my 'retro kit' is [6203RSC] made in Poland. It also says [FLT4]. Do not know what THAT means(mfr?).

Inner bearing is [6003Z] made in Poland/FLT4.

Kit included new plastic 'spline adapter' and did NOT have a 'top hat'.

My kit was purchased about a year ago(not always reliable memory cells provided this 'timing').

FLT4 is the manufacture. RS (Double Rubber Sealed). Not sure about the C on the end.

2 bearing quill options so far:
2 part shaft: 6002ZZ & 6003ZZ (identified by the rollpin that holds the two halves together)
1 part shaft: 6003ZZ & 6203ZZ
1 part shaft: 6804ZZ & 6202ZZ-5\8

Apparently there are three 2-bearing designs out there. Any more?

Although I have NOT pulled them to examine the inner side of my bearings, from the part numbers on them I believe the end bearing has a SEAL on the outboard side only and the 'rear' bearing is SHIELDED on the outboard side only. Thus RS, and Z.

Both are 17mm ID. The end bearing is 40mm OD and 12mm length while the 'rear' bearing is 35mm OD and 10mm length. Again this info is DERIVED from the part NO.

I Do NOT believe any one makes a bearing sealed only on one side, therefore overlook the 'outboard side comment about the sealed end bearing.

I'm wondering if some of the 2 bearing quills out there are after market mods by headstock re-builders.
