My out of warranty PowerPro has developed an intermittent condition where I hear relays clicking and "Low Voltage" is displayed along with the expected display elemnets.
I've verified 120VAC both before and after the power switch. I've measured the resistance of the switch (good). I disconnected the motor leaving only the Control Module/Power supply and display pad, and the problem still exists.

I'm curious if Shopsmith actually repairs these, or if it is replacement only. If it is replacement only, then I'll probably take it apart and check for bad relays, which is the most I can reliably do without schematics. (For those concerned, I spent 20 years repairing electronics)

They do, but reports say it takes a while, and the solution is sometimes new expensive components. Cleaning the motor and tightening the fan set screw has been the cure for some problems. It there's an issue in the power supply or control module there's probably nothing you can do except replace them. The cost of a new control panel is not excessive, and you could upgrade to the Gen 2 version which would include some motor changes. A new motor costs around $750 and a power supply is around $575. Check around on this forum to read about other's experiences with PowerPro problems.

If it's not something you can fix right away you might keep an eye out for a used conventional headstock to get you running again.

After some web sleuthing it appears that "clicking noise' with Low Power error message is a known Teknatool issue. I've modified "UVTsdStp = 345" to 340 per Teknatool FAQ https://teknatool.freshdesk.com/helpdes ... 9005420741 and I no longer get the Low Voltage error. However the clicking continues, though the FAQ says the clicking does not affect performance.

There is a 2nd FAQ https://teknatool.freshdesk.com/helpdes ... 9003991574 that shows a surface mount resistor on the Control Module/Power Supply which can be replaced to stop the clicking. Next time I have reason to open it up I will make the modification.
