Has anyone tried the spray on ceramic coating for the way and bench tubes.
I would like to get some feedback on their use. I have tried some carnauba car wax since Johnson paste wax is no longer available and it seems to work pretty well. Larry

I haven't tried a spray ceramic coating so I cannot comment on that. Below is what the Owner's Manuals say for maintenance with the NOTE added.
Maintenance: Waxing
CAUTION
Use paste furniture wax. Do not use car wax or spray furniture polish. Car wax, although it offers good protection for metal it is extremely hard and has little value as a lubricant. Spray furniture polish isn’t hard enough. Paste furniture wax protects and lubricates. Many newer paste floor waxes now have abrasives added for a non-slip finish and should be avoided. Johnson Paste Wax, Original Formula works well.
NOTE: Johnson Paste Wax has been discontinued by SC Johnson but Minwax is currently supplied by Shopsmith and some have used Trewax as an alternative.
