I have a small Sears band saws and I am thinking of getting an upgrade kit instead of getting the stock ones. Where do you think is the best place for it? I found Carters but I think it is a bit more than I can afford.

You may have already read the post I made below in the topic Never realized I needed a bandsaw...
My first Bandsaw was a bench top unit. I was always having to adjust the tracking. What a pain. Once I had it I would use my SS Jigsaw if I could before using that bench top Bandsaw. That bench top Bandsaw was more of a dust collector and I do not mean sawdust.

Having the Shopsmith Bandsaw gives me a larger cutting capacity and a lot less fussing to use it. Having disassembled, restored and reassembled 5 Shopsmith Bandsaws I believe I know them pretty well. Once aligned they stay that way and no worries for the tracking. :)

Once I got my first Shopsmith Bandsaw that bench top Bandsaw had to go. :D
What I didn't mention in that post was the bench top Bandsaw was a Sears Craftsman. Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of Craftsman tools that are great but save your money on trying to make that Sears Bandsaw better. If you have a Shopsmith Mark V or other Shopsmith model to power one, get a Shopsmith Bandsaw. I believe you will be much happier with it.
